Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1968.His first instrument was the guitar at an early age but switched to banjo at 12 with a favor toward Bluegrass. During his later teens, Albert learned of Stevie Ray Vaughan. While in college, he saw SRV perform live and he switched back to guitar with a favor toward Blues.
Albert first played his bluesrock quitar at age 27 and was soon traveling the Blues circuit in the Northeast. Albert performed at the Northeast Blues Society’s open jam in 1998 leading to his competing in the 1999 International Blues Challenge.
Albert and the Swamp Yankee released his debut album, “The Long Way”, in 2000. In 2003, Double Trouble’s Tommy Shannon and Chris Layton, volunteered to play on and produce Albert’s solo debut, “From the Heart”. Reese Wynans also played on the disc. He signed with Blind Pig Records in 2004 and his most recent release, “Believe”, was released in 2020 on Provogue Records.
